Things to Know Before Ordering
-
The best way to order a commission is through my Etsy shop. If you have questions before placing an order, you can also contact me at whimsybirdcreative@gmail.com.
Before ordering, please take a moment to browse my gallery and commission information page to become familiar with my painting and drawing style, process, and photo guidelines.

Revisions are limited to the sketch stage. Each commission includes one digital sketch review before painting begins, if requested.
Please share any important details, preferences, or elements you would like included or kept as-is when submitting your reference images. This helps ensure the sketch direction is clear before the final painting begins.
Once painting has started, changes cannot be made. Final artwork may include minor artistic interpretation to reflect my painting and drawing style.
-
Each commission includes a white or solid-color background at no additional cost, allowing the focus to remain on your subject.
If you'd like a more detailed or custom background—such as a landscape, home interior, garden, or other personalized setting—it can be added for an additional $25.
Backgrounds are thoughtfully interpreted using your reference photos and my painting and drawing style. Please see my gallery for examples of my artistic style.
-
After your commission has been booked, I offer optional support through Etsy Messages or a scheduled consultation via Google Meet (or a similar platform) to discuss reference photos, special requests, or any questions before painting begins.
Each commission includes one digital sketch review stage to confirm the composition and overall direction before moving into the final painting.
Optional consultations are available by appointment on weekends from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM CST and Monday–Thursday from 6:00–9:00 PM CST.

Most commissions are completed within 2–5 weeks, depending on my current workload and the complexity of the portrait.
If you need your artwork by a specific date, please contact me before placing your order. While I cannot guarantee rush requests, I'll let you know if your timeline can be accommodated.
