Custom Portrait Commissions
Create a meaningful watercolor portrait celebrating a beloved pet, a special person, or the connection you share.
Each portrait is hand-painted in my expressive watercolor style, focusing on personality, emotion, and the unique details that make each subject special. Every piece is created from reference photos and interpreted through my artistic style rather than as a photorealistic reproduction.
Pricing
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and include standard U.S. shipping. Orders over $200 may require signature confirmation upon delivery.
Commissions are currently available for shipping within the United States only. Turnaround time is approximately 2–5 weeks after receipt of reference images and required information, depending on current workload and project complexity.

• 2 subjects — $165

Backgrounds
Solid color backgrounds are included with every commission at no additional cost.
Background colors may be selected based on what best complements the subject and overall composition. If you have a preferred color or feeling you would like to capture, please let me know, and I will do my best to incorporate your request while considering the balance of the artwork and my artistic style. If no background preference is provided, I will choose the option that best supports the finished portrait, which may include leaving the background white.
Detailed backgrounds or additional elements may require an additional $25 fee depending on complexity.
The Commission Process
1. Submit Your Request
After booking your commission, you’ll provide reference photos and any important details you would like included.
If your subject had a favorite color, toy, accessory, or meaningful detail you would like incorporated, please let me know. I may be able to include these through subtle details such as color choices, accessories, or other small touches that help capture their personality while keeping the artwork balanced.
2. Sketch Review
Each commission includes the option for one digital sketch review before painting begins. This allows you to review the placement and key details before I start the final painting.
If you choose not to request a sketch review, I will begin the painting process using the reference images and details provided.
Once the sketch is approved or painting has begun, additional revisions or changes cannot be made. Due to the nature of watercolor, changes after painting has started may not be possible without affecting the artwork.
3. Painting & Delivery
Your portrait is carefully hand-painted, packaged, and shipped with tracking and insurance.
Completed artwork is shipped in a protective sleeve with backing support and a rigid mailer to help ensure safe delivery.
Choosing Reference Photos
The best portraits begin with clear reference images. The more photos you provide, the better I can understand your subject’s personality, features, and unique details.
If you are unsure whether your photos will work, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help.
Good Lighting & Quality
Digital camera or phone photos work well. Natural daylight is preferred (avoiding direct sunlight). Please avoid flash when possible.Variety of Images
Multiple photos help me understand details that may not be visible in a single image.Close-Up Details
Close-up images are especially helpful for capturing expressions, markings, and important features.Full-Body Photos (When Possible)
Full-body photos taken at your pet’s eye level, with feet visible and in focus, are especially helpful. If a full-body photo is not available, a clear chest-up image is recommended.
If Your Loved One Has Passed Away
I understand this is not always possible. Please send whatever photos you have, and I will let you know if the reference material will work or if anything additional may be helpful.I will always do my best to create a meaningful portrait from the memories and images available.
Helpful Reference Photos
Some images can make it difficult to capture important details.
Please avoid:
Blurry or out-of-focus photos
Images where the subject is too far away
Strong backlighting that hides features
Pixelated or low-resolution images
Heavy filters that alter natural colors
Photos That Are Difficult to Work From
